![]() ![]() ![]() You will often see a list of the dates/times for any versions that have been saved. A recovery pane will appear on the left side of your screen. If you experience a crash, AutoRecover will generally launch automatically. The AutoSaves will take up some hard drive space, too. I do want to mention that turning on AutoSave can slow down your computer a bit while it is doing the autosave. You will want to make sure that you have the AutoSave option turned on if you are working on any file that you do not want to risk losing. (Note: You can change the number of minutes between AutoSaves when you turn the feature on in the options.) AutoRecover helps you to retrieve your file in the case of a lightning strike or loss of electricity. I am so grateful for the invention of AutoSave and AutoRecover in the Microsoft Office applications, When turned on, AutoSave saves your presentation every 10 minutes by default. Those first two times were before the days of any recovery features so I knew I would be starting over from scratch. I have lost many files over the years to power surges of some sort, and must admit that the first couple of times I actually cried. If you have ever had your computer crash, then you are very familiar with the panic feeling that comes with it. ![]()
